Background
Anemon Studio engaged me to help deliver a new digital presence for Westside Strata Management, a company with 40+ years of leadership in the strata industry. Their old website lacked flexibility, modern design, and interactive features. The new build needed to highlight corporate values, simplify client interactions, and enable staff to manage content easily.
Responsibilities
My role focused on translating design and business requirements into a fully functional WordPress website, ensuring maintainability and ease-of-use for the Westside team. Key tasks included:
- Building custom Elementor templates for modular page layouts
- Implementing Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) for dynamic content management (timeline, team profiles, service highlights, etc.)
- Developing custom forms (Request a Certificate, Book a Strata Search, Feedback & Complaints) with Mailer integration for reliable notifications
- Optimizing site performance, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness
Architecture & Tech Stack
- WordPress as the CMS backbone for client-friendly content updates
- Elementor for flexible drag-and-drop page building with custom templates
- Advanced Custom Fields (ACF) to handle structured data (e.g., services, values, team members, resources)
- Custom Forms + Mailer for handling user submissions with file upload support and email routing
- Custom CSS layered on top of Elementor for pixel-perfect styling

Challenges & Learnings
- Form Complexity – Many forms required conditional logic, file uploads, and backend email integration. Solved by extending Elementor forms with custom PHP hooks and Mailer.
- Content Modularity – Westside wanted staff to update content without breaking layouts. Implemented ACF flexible content blocks to keep editing simple yet structured.
- Consistent Branding – Balanced corporate professionalism with a modern, approachable UI by customizing Elementor’s defaults and enforcing a global style system.
Outcomes
- Delivered a professional, responsive, and maintainable website aligned to Westside’s 49-year reputation.
- Reduced admin workload by shifting service requests from phone/email to structured online forms.
